The biggest thing I've learned while studying about developer happiness is "give them ownership". I have to totally agree.

Best tool for the job goes out the window when there is a bandwagon to jump on.

Metaprogramming Ruby is a hard book to put down once you get to reading it. I like that kind of book. :-D
