I'm up in Denver, at a hearing for a lawsuit about an ACLU suit against Colorado Springs, over the new panhandling ban. #panhandling

Mark Silverstein, the state ACLU legal director, said they expect to get an expedited hearing in federal court before Dec. 7.

The ACLU is saying that panhandling and other forms of solicitation are protected by the 1st Amendment, and is free speech.
