i think the actual "national struggle with obesity" is that people are extremely intolerant of it, beyond all reason. hello stigma!

anybody calling any child's body, fat or not, a "national security threat" sickens me. not kidding.

the belief that "you shouldn't be treated bad! btw your body is a problem and we should prevent people like you" is still incredibly hurtful

look: fat stigma is a thing. weight discrimination is a thing. people have the right to question programs like Michele Obama's focus on fat
