My mom was from the USSR. There were obviously problems, but there was so much more to people's everyday lives than we hear in the US.
Capitalism didn't educate kids, heal the sick, feed the hungry, respect women, or give us free time, we fought capitalism for those things.
US propaganda doesn't mention free summer camps and theaters, sophisticated culture, protections for workers, freedoms for women, etc.
You never hear that all workers got long vacations, for many in the US the closest they get to a vacation is unemployment.
